ABC Taps Andrew Breitbart For Election Night Analysis

I think that Breitbart is a brilliant man. He deliberately created the whole Shirley Sherrod controversy to get the country to once again talk about the issue of race. And in the process, he exposes the timidness of the Obama administration.

... nah.

Iran Offers To Return To Nuclear Talks

Here we go again.

Maybe Iran finally is feeling some sting from the sanctions, so how it reluctant is suggesting new talks. But must likely it'll just be talks in the short run.

Politico Has Concerns About Rally To Restore Sanity For Some Reason

Political is too political. Go figure.

"...there is no "bright line" between "commentary" and "political participation" -- political commentary is political participation."

Brilliantly said. And it is really what distinguishes political discourse from other types. Political commentary can be serious, hateful, hilarious, or boring, but as long as one is talking about politics, he is being political.

Like Linkins says, Stewart is not moving into a new territory. He is, however, literally taking his show and commentary on stage, outdoors, with a lot more people watching than usual.

Father And Son Send iPhone Into Space And Record Incredible Video (VIDEO)

This is so awesome! I think equally as awesome as the video taken from space is how close it was to the launch location when it came back to Earth.

The spinning of the camera turned out to be a bonus, as it gave us a view of everything around the camera, and caught just about all of the planet it was able to see at that height.

Hurray for American scientific ingenuity!

Steve Jobs Sends iPods To Chilean Miners

My friend told me she was going to boycott all Oakley products for their 'placement' in this event, and she received a lot of opposing views because, hey, somebody needed to give them shades. Well, bad news to her (I guess), Apple is next.

Glenn Beck Condemns Anti-Gay Bronx Attacks: 'A Whole New Level Of Evil' (VIDEO)

Never thought I'd recommend anyone to watch anything by Glenn Beck... because it's GOOD. But I was quite moved. You probably would be, too.

Like Andrew Sullivan says, Beck is a genuine clown. I think Beck knows (and he kind of says it here) it's true, to some extent. He is perhaps best viewed as a great TV personality, a good 'talker' of issues. When I watch Beck, the truth becomes irrelevant (in addition to because he is often factually incorrect) because I watch it for his theatrics, and sometimes you get something that's actually pretty good, like this.

Howard Fineman Tells Keith Olbermann Why Christine O'Donnell Is Attacking The GOP (VIDEO)

Watch from 5:35...

Then O'Donnell says "you didn't use your whole two minutes!"

I think he should've said "well I could've said it closer."

George Clooney Visits Sudan (PHOTOS)

It's nice to see that not all celebrities are busy making money, getting hammered, and being chased by paparazzi.

By the way, here is probably the best way to lose the paparazzi: go to Sudan.

However, it feels to me like Clooney's efforts this time might be in vain because international humanitarian work usually fall on deaf ears amidst a turbulent economy and tense political environment (ex. Israel & Palestine).

In other news, Agnus T. Jones, who plays Jake Harper in "Two and a Half Men", signs a two year, 22 episode deal worth $300,000 PER episode (and Charlie Sheen signs for $2 million per episode). Perhaps he should accompany Clooney and see where he could spend some of his fortunes.

PHOTO: Pre-Chicken Nugget Meat Paste, AKA Mechanically Separated Poultry [Updated]

So disgusting it made me gag...

But wait, the article kinda goes downhill with one update after another. It turns out that the chicken slurry-paste stuff is not in the McNuggets. Really? I mean, I'd be pretty ticked off if I were the folks working at McDonald's and I just got accused that my company uses that kind of pink sludge.

And then to bring in that bit about Jamie Oliver's 'failed' attempt to get kids no to eat processed meat is just redundant. Kids don't care what's being fed to them because... they're kids! They'll eat whatever tastes good, and it's the parents job to watch what they eat.

So the end-result of this article (so far, anyway) is I'm grossed out. But will I stop eating the nuggets?

Hungary Flood Of Toxic Sludge An 'Ecological Disaster' (PHOTOS)

Is this Hungary's 'oil' disaster? Is MAL Rt. to Hungary what BP was to the U.S.?

"Local environmentalists say they have tried to call the government's attention to the risks of red sludge for years, pointing to a 2003 report in which they estimated the waste at 30 million tons." Of course the government or the owner of the plant don't do anything until it's too late. We would expect nothing more than incompetence when it comes to government oversight of big natural resource businesses.

"MAL Rt., the Hungarian Aluminum Production and Trade Company that owns the Ajka plant, said that according to European Union standards, the red sludge was not considered toxic waste. The company also denied that it should have taken more precautions to shore up the reservoir." I am not familiar with what the E.U.'s environmental standards are, but I seriously doubt that the company itself doesn't know the harmful effects of this red sludge, even if it's not considered 'toxic'. Yet what they're doing here is essentially denying responsibility. One can only hope that they weren't working through loopholes in the system in order to get away from regulations the way BP did.

Lou Dobbs On 'The Good Wife'?

Lil Wayne Gets Solitary Confinement Punishment

I guess the silver lining here is, one would like to believe, that all he wanted to do was listen to music and make music, while he's in jail. That's better than not showing up for rehab or possessing some bad like a weapon. The guy is a multimillionaire with immense talent and he hasn't even reached his prime, I guess everyone's egos eventually catches up to them.

I'd be very interested in listening to his post-prison tunes.

Net Neutrality Proposal Falls Apart

Has there ever been net neutrality? I am not entire sure if the internet has always been as 'fair' as people claim it is. The free-ness of the internet is essentially an anarchic arena for anyone to do anything. What Rep. Waxman is proposing is basically to apply minimal containment to an uncontainable force. I'm doubtful if it's even possible to regulate these companies a few years down the road.

White House Praises MSNBC's Olbermann & Maddow: 'Invaluable'

Yes, they're great. Sad thing is the majority of cable news viewers still prefer Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity. Even their late-evening repeats get more views their competitors' first airings. This is something the competing networks, namely MSNBC and CNN need to figure out. Why is Fox so appealing? I tried watching Fox for a little while and I thought most of the shows are a mess; the hosts are either yelling about things that make no sense or talking quietly and make no sense.

When I tune in to watch Rachel Maddow, I know that I will be getting a certain political opinion from a very well-educated host. And even though she might not cover as many stories as the others, she provides a more in-depth analysis on the ones she does talk about.

That said, I don't know if it's exactly appropriate for the White House Deputy Press Secretary to go out of his way to praise Keith and Rachel, because the guys at Fox will almost certainly take great offense.
